End of Year Thank You

Thank you to all staff, students and their families that have supported the Knowledge Hub this year by :

  • borrowing, reading and returning books. Any outstanding books can be returned in Term 1 2023.

  • donating lego and books, which have brought so much joy to the students.

  • supporting our first ever Book Fair

DiNovember is an exciting month-long celebration of dinosaurs, full of mystery, mischief, surprises and fun. There are lots of activities to do. Visit the Knowledge Hub to find out more, and if you're lucky you might get to see one!

Book Club online at Santa Sophia - orders have closed for school delivery.

Book Club is an easy way to encourage your child's reading. Books make great rewards or Christmas gifts for family members.

Once a term, an online catalogue link will be shared with you via email. Any purchases help the Santa Sophia Knowledge Hub to grow our library collection, as Scholastic reward us with points to buy new books.

Wow what a week that was!

It was so exciting to see K-11 students, staff and parents all involved in this special celebration of literacy. Watch our videos to feel the energy of our "I stepped out of a story" themed dress up day, thanks to Mr Tiglao and our music videos celebrating reading.

Book Fair 2022

Thank you to all the families who supported our first ever Santa Sophia Book Fair, either by visiting the Knowledge Hub or ordering online.

Thanks to generosity of the community through sales commission and donations we will be able to add over $3500 worth of books to our library collection over the next month or so. What an incredible boost to the opportunity for students to engage in literacy!

All back orders have been placed and should be in over the next two weeks.

NSW Premier's Reading Challenge has closed for 2022

Congratulations to the more than 100 students who have completed the reading challenge. Reading logs have been submitted to the PRC Team. Harry Potter Week

Celebrating Harry Potter!

The celebrations have kicked off with a Sorting ceremony. Activities included owl seeking, cup stacking, wizard chess, quidditch, charm class, unicorn horns and colouring fun.

House points were earned for participation in activities throughout the week, with Hufflepuff finishing as the winning house.

Congratulations to all who participated and enjoyed the Harry Potter fun!

World Ocean Day

Students and staff celebrated World Ocean Day on the 8th June, learning about how to protect our oceans and the creatures that live there. Find out more by reading some great ebooks about looking after these amazing environments. Global Ocean and Aquatic Library

National Simultaneous Storytime

On the 23rd May, Santa Sophia K-4 students joined more than 2 million people across Australia and New Zealand in reading Family Tree. For photos and more information visit the School of Curiosity page.
